Our professional diagnostic equipment connects to your vehicle's OBD port — usually under the dashboard on the driver's side.

Depending on your booking, we scan one system (Quick Scan) or all systems (Full Diagnostic). We may ask you to start the engine or reproduce a fault.

We Explain

We go through every fault found in plain English — what it means, how serious it is, and what a garage will likely charge to fix it. No jargon.

Written Report

Full Diagnostic and Pre-Purchase customers receive a written report by email. Share it with any garage or use it to negotiate a used car price.

You Pay

Payment at the end. If we found nothing, you pay nothing — that is our no call-out fee. If we cannot identify the fault, you pay nothing. No exceptions, ever.

Common Questions.

How long will it take?

A Quick Scan takes up to 30 minutes. A Full Diagnostic or Pre-Purchase Check takes up to 60 minutes. Complex or intermittent faults may take a little longer — we will always let you know.

Do I need to be present?

Yes — we need someone present to provide access, authorise the work, and receive the findings. You may also need to start the engine at certain points during the scan.

What if my car won't start?

A non-starting vehicle can still be partially diagnosed. Let us know when booking and we will advise whether we can help without the engine running.

Will you clear the fault codes?

Yes — clearing codes is included in every appointment. We only clear them after recording and explaining every fault found, so nothing is lost from the scan.

What if you can't find a fault?

If our equipment finds no faults during the appointment, you do not pay. That is our no call-out fee. If we cannot identify the fault, you pay nothing — no exceptions.

Can you fix the fault?

We are a diagnostic-only service. We identify faults but do not carry out mechanical repairs. We will tell you exactly what to ask a garage and what it should cost.
