EV battery
protection.
Backed by £2,700.

Every Aviloo FLASH Test PAD runs from 1 July 2026 automatically generates an Aviloo Battery Warranty at no extra cost. If the battery's State of Health drops below a calculated threshold within the warranty period, the vehicle owner receives £2,700 compensation directly from Aviloo.

Compensation
£2,700
Paid directly to the vehicle owner by Aviloo if SoH drops below threshold
Duration
1 year
Or 12,400 miles — whichever comes first. Starts from date of FLASH Test
Extra cost
£0
Automatically issued with every PAD FLASH Test from 1 July 2026. Nothing extra to pay
How it works

Certificate and warranty.
Two different things.

The Aviloo FLASH Test produces two documents. The battery certificate records the State of Health right now — timestamped, independently verified, and shareable with any buyer or insurer. The battery warranty covers what happens if that condition deteriorates during the warranty period. The certificate is the baseline. The warranty is the safety net.

Aviloo Battery Warranty — key terms
Compensation
£2,700 paid to the vehicle owner if SoH drops below the individually calculated limit. Plus reimbursement of the FLASH Test costs.
Duration
1 year from the date of the initial FLASH Test, or 12,400 miles driven during the warranty period — whichever comes first
SoH threshold
An individual limit calculated per vehicle using Aviloo's database — the world's largest EV battery diagnostics database. Not a blanket percentage; calculated for that specific model and battery
Transferable
Yes — the warranty is tied to the vehicle, not the owner. It transfers automatically on change of ownership within the warranty period
Issued by
Aviloo — independent of PAD, the dealer, and the manufacturer. The financial liability sits with Aviloo, not PAD
How to access
Automatically issued via Aviloo Connect after the FLASH Test. A QR code on the certificate links to the warranty document. No action required from the vehicle owner at time of test

Important
conditions.

The warranty is genuinely useful — but it isn't unconditional. These are the restrictions you need to know about before presenting it as a selling point.

Exclusions and conditions
  • Private use only — the warranty is void if the vehicle is used commercially: taxis, ride-hailing, delivery, courier work, or rental of any kind
  • A second Aviloo validation FLASH Test is required to make a claim — the customer must arrange and pay for this test at the time of claim (the cost is reimbursed if the claim is successful)
  • The warranty covers battery degradation only — not damage, collision, water ingress, or manufacturer defects (those are covered by the vehicle warranty or insurance)
  • The individual SoH threshold is set by Aviloo's database — it is not a fixed percentage and varies by model
  • Claims are adjudicated directly by Aviloo, not PAD — PAD's role ends at testing and certification
What this means in practice

For a private buyer or seller of a used EV, the warranty is exactly what it says: a year of documented financial protection against unexpected battery degradation. For commercial operators or fleet vehicles, it doesn't apply. Present it accurately and it's a strong selling point. Oversell it and it creates expectations the terms won't support.

If you need to claim

How a claim
actually works.

Claims go directly to Aviloo — not through PAD. Here is the process as it works on Aviloo's claim form.

1
Arrange a validation FLASH Test
If you believe the battery has degraded, book a second Aviloo FLASH Test — through PAD or any certified Aviloo partner. This is the validation test that confirms whether the SoH has dropped below your warranted threshold. You pay for this test upfront.
2
Gather your documents
You need: initial FLASH Test certificate number, validation FLASH Test certificate number, identity document, registration papers or proof of ownership, and your IBAN bank details. The name on the IBAN must match the identity document.
3
Submit via Aviloo's claim form
Complete the claim form at aviloo.com/en/warranty-claim. You must also confirm the vehicle is privately used and that the degradation is not covered by a manufacturer warranty, active recall, or other insurance.
4
Aviloo adjudicates the claim
Aviloo reviews the claim. If successful: £2,700 is paid to your bank account and the validation FLASH Test cost is reimbursed. PAD is not involved in this stage — the claim is between you and Aviloo directly.

Questions

Frequently
asked.

Yes. From 1 July 2026, the Aviloo Battery Warranty is automatically generated with every FLASH Test PAD runs. There is no additional charge — it is part of the standard EV battery health check.
No. Aviloo calculates an individual threshold for each vehicle based on their database — the world's largest EV battery diagnostics dataset. The limit varies by model, age, and battery chemistry. It's not a blanket figure like "if it drops below 80%". The threshold is stated on the warranty document.
No. The warranty explicitly excludes commercial use — including delivery, courier work, taxis, ride-hailing (Uber etc.), and any revenue-generating activity. The vehicle must be used for private purposes only. If you use your EV commercially in any way, the warranty is void.
Yes — and it's the most useful application. The warranty transfers with the vehicle on change of ownership, so a buyer receives the remaining warranty period. This removes the "what if it degrades next year?" concern that drives price negotiation. Combined with the certificate showing current SoH, it's a strong package. Just be accurate about the private-use condition and the claim process.
No. The warranty covers degradation of State of Health below the calculated threshold only. Physical damage, water ingress, collision damage, or defects covered by a manufacturer warranty or active recall are not covered. If the degradation you're claiming for is covered by another policy or warranty, Aviloo can recover the payout.
The warranty only applies to vehicles for which a FLASH Test can be completed. Check your vehicle's Aviloo coverage first. If it's not listed, WhatsApp PAD with your reg — most mainstream UK EVs are supported.
