Modern BMWs, Minis, and VAG group cars ship with dozens of comfort and convenience settings disabled by default. Start-stop behaviour, mirror folding, lighting options — these exist in the software. We can toggle them on your driveway using the same tools as the manufacturer.

What changes, what doesn't
  • Factory settings only. These are options the manufacturer built in — not modifications. Nothing is altered that wasn't already there.
  • Reversible. Every setting we change is backed up before we touch it. We can restore to factory state at any point.
  • No guarantee on outcomes. We tell you what's confirmed to work on your exact model before we start — not after.
What this isn't: performance tuning, remapping, warranty bypassing, or anything that alters how the drivetrain operates. Comfort settings are configuration-level only.

We use manufacturer-endorsed third-party apps — not generic OBD tools — paired with a licensed OBDLink MX+ adapter. Each app is purpose-built for its brand group. This isn't a complete list of every possible setting, and not every function works on every variant. We confirm your specific car before booking.

BMW & Mini

  • Start/Stop memory — car remembers your last choice instead of resetting every ignition cycle
  • Folding mirrors on lock — automatically fold when you walk away
  • Cornering lights — activate if wiring is present
  • Digital dash layout options on configurable cluster models
  • Seatbelt chime adjustment (where legally permitted)

F-series (2011–2019) well-supported. G-series (2018+) more variable — confirm your reg first.

VW · Audi · Seat · Skoda · Carista

VAG Group

  • Needle sweep — gauge needles sweep to max and back on startup
  • EPB service mode — release electric handbrake for brake pad changes without a garage
  • Seatbelt chime delete — remove the reminder tone (where legally permitted)
  • Auto start-stop default state
  • Coming home / leaving home lights duration
  • Automatic headlight sensitivity

MQB platform (Golf 7/8, A3 8V/8Y, Octavia) well-supported. Post-2019 security gateway may restrict some functions.

Toyota · Lexus · Carista

Toyota & Lexus

  • Remote window roll-down — hold the key fob unlock button to drop all windows before you get in the car
  • Auto door lock / unlock behaviour
  • Seatbelt chime adjustment
  • Parking sensor sensitivity (select models)

Coverage varies significantly by model and year. WhatsApp your reg — Toyota/Lexus is one where we always check before confirming.

Ford · Mazda · FORScan Lite

Ford & Mazda

  • Cruise control activation — enable factory-fitted cruise control that wasn't activated at the dealership
  • Auto door locking — lock doors automatically above a set speed
  • BLIS (blind spot monitoring) enable on equipped models
  • Daytime running light configuration

FORScan has strong Ford coverage from roughly 2010 onward. Mazda support is more limited — check first.

Fiat · Alfa Romeo · AlfaOBD

Fiat & Alfa Romeo

  • Proxy alignment — fixes flashing odometers and dashboard warnings after module replacement or a used-car ECU swap
  • Key fob programming on supported models
  • Service interval reset
  • Speed-dependent volume adjustment

Proxy alignment is a genuinely useful and underserved job — most garages don't have the tooling. Coverage best on 2008–2020 models.

Jeep · Chrysler · Dodge · OBD JScan

Jeep, Chrysler & Dodge

  • Module configuration and feature activation on FCA platform vehicles
  • Key fob programming (where supported)
  • Factory option activation

JScan covers the FCA platform well but specific function availability depends heavily on model, trim, and year. This is one where we need your reg before we can say what's possible.

One important note on all of the above: the apps and tools we use are the best available for each brand — but "best available" doesn't mean unlimited access. Newer cars, locked security gateways, and regional specification differences all affect what's reachable. We tell you what's confirmed before we show up.

Settings questions.
Short answers.

Comfort settings change factory configuration settings — it doesn't modify firmware or tune performance. In most cases this doesn't affect manufacturer warranty, but we can't guarantee that for every model, dealer, or situation. If you're within a manufacturer warranty period and concerned, check with your dealer before booking.
We back up the module before making any change. If a setting doesn't apply as expected, we restore from backup and you're back to factory state. You only pay for settings that successfully apply.
No — these settings can only activate things the car was physically built to support. If your BMW doesn't have the folding mirror motors fitted, coding won't add them. We check what's actually present before confirming what's possible.
