Completely safe. The Aviloo test reads data from your battery management system passively. It does not charge, discharge, stress, or modify the battery in any way. Zero risk to the battery or your manufacturer warranty. The process is silent and non-invasive, taking ~20 minutes on site.

A main dealer's check is a self-assessment from the car's own system. An Aviloo certificate through PAD is third-party verified and issued as an independent, standardised certificate — not the seller's self-reported number. That independence is exactly what gives the certificate credibility with buyers and insurers.

Research shows certified EVs sell for £450–£900 more on average than equivalent uncertified vehicles, and they sell faster, because buyers stop negotiating against an unknown. For most sellers the £79 test recovers itself many times over.

You get the exact number either way — PAD doesn't soften results. If SOH is low, you have that information before you buy (walk away or negotiate hard), or you know your real range as an owner. If it's healthy, you have proof. Either result is better than the uncertainty you have now.

From 1 July 2026, every Aviloo FLASH Test PAD runs automatically generates an Aviloo Battery Warranty — included at no extra cost. If the battery's State of Health drops below an individually calculated threshold within 1 year or 12,400 miles, the vehicle owner receives £2,700 compensation from Aviloo, plus a refund of the FLASH Test cost. The warranty is tied to the vehicle and transfers on resale. Important: it covers privately used vehicles only — commercial use, ride-hailing, taxis, and rental are excluded.
